Seeking Movie Board of Advisors
Tina Karelson, Vice
President at Risdall Linnehan Advertising Agency in Minneapolis will
complete her professional edit of my book, Did I ever thank you,
Sister?, in mid-July, 2002. If all is clear on the work, we are
ready to submit the it to major publishing houses this August.
Judith Regan, who hosts a national cable TV show out of New York,
and who has published Rush Limbaugh and many other celebrities, has
agreed to read the book in August.
About a month ago another story broke
about the book (5th story so far) in the Baton Rouge, LA paper. As a
result, we have sold more manuscripts and have again received
unsolicited positive responses on the book, even in its current
rough form. I am consistently being told it was "hard to put the
book down" once they started reading it and that " it would be a
great movie." As a result of this response and all of the past
letters I have received, I have now decided to pursue getting the
manuscript to screenwriter Richard Friedenberg who was the
screenwriter for A river runs through it. We have made
contact with his agent in Beverly Hills and are ready to submit a
letter of intent at the appropriate time.
Before we go too much
further, I thought it would make sense to set up a board of advisors
to help me with getting started on this movie project. At this
point, I have three very connected people in the film industry who
have agreed to sit on the board of advisors.
Bud Grant, 1994 NFL Hall Of Fame Coach, has also agreed to sit on
the board as a friend to help us reach key business contacts locally
and nationally.
