In 1998, a 45-year-old businessman returns
after 30 years to the Catholic orphanage outside Chicago that
became home to him and his three siblings in 1963. He locates
the Head Nun from his time there, living in a nursing home.
See what he discovers about
himself when the experience forces him to remember things he
had long since forgotten. For the first time, he is forced to
reconstruct his life as it really happened, including some of
his most difficult years as an adolescent at Boys Town,
Nebraska.
Follow him in an aggressive quest
for power and money in his 20's as he tries to rise above his
past.
Broke and angry in his 30's, he
tries to make a name
for himself by launching a movement to preserve President
Ronald Reagan's image during the Iran-Contra Arms Hearings in
1986. Discover the impact on Reagan.
Finally, in his late 30's, he is
befriended by NFL
Hall of Fame coach Bud Grant, who convinces him to go back to
his roots and look for the good. See
what he finds.
